Grower Profile
Quarry Road Estate vineyard is planted adjacent to a silicious quartzite (rotten rock) quarry, contributing to a unique terroir within the region itself. New Zealand’s third largest Lake Waikare gives the vineyard it’s own microclimate producing thermal up draughts and together with the rocks greatly increase fruit quality. Toby Cooper and Jenny Gander believe in minimal interference, low yields and direct viticultural control.
This consistency of quality can be testified by numerous medals.
